Making Waxing More Affordable ….

Applying wax with an Encaustic Iron

May 2016 update…. I’m excited to tell you about a new wax offer I’ve pulled together… The situation I keep seeing, are people really fancy a go at encaustic wax, but by the time they’ve bought an iron £30… plus the starter kit £38…. That’s not far shy of £70, and they are still not sure how to use the stuff!?   Unless they are convinced they want to use it, and happy to make the investment, I see a lot of people get put off at the initial outlay, and put it back…

Perplexed by this, and knowing how much people WILL enjoy it…   It IS pure THERAPY!!     I’ve pulled together a smaller bonus pack of waxes and papers, which costs just £15.   This includes eight waxes, 20 x A5 papers, and 30 x A6 papers…. More than enough to get a beginner started, and easy to top up on supplies inexpensively when you’re running low…

It’s far more economical than buying papers and waxes individually, yet not as daunting as getting the full starter pack in one go.    So, for as little as £45 you are up and running.

My intention is to make getting started much more affordable, and most importantly, just get people getting creative with wax.    (This ‘Bonus Pack’ will very soon, come with a ‘Julie Ann’s user guide’ to give you some step by step hints and tips to start you off, and, a link to ‘Getting Started with Encaustic Wax’ video for free too, but that’s not quite ready yet!)

I asked a question in a forum last month about how people use encaustic wax…  and was interested to hear how people use it so differently, some completely intuitively with no idea what they are going to create, others used it in a spiritual way, another lady used it with her clients in a healing practice.    I haven’t particularly used it in these ways, but I can totally see why it is such a good medium for that, I’ve always said it’s pure therapy…

So, at £45 to get started, it falls nicely into a ‘gift’ category, keep in mind for birthdays, and Christmas!   (Don’t forget Julie Ann Gift Vouchers, which can be used for wax, workshops and art too…)

If you would like a starter pack, or gift vouchers… just e-mail me at: julie@julieannsgallery.co.uk and we can sort details from there.

So… What else is coming up in May…?
