THERE IS A BIG TAX UPDATE HOWEVER….. WHICH WILL BE EVEN MORE REASON TO ACT NOW IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT IT…. READ ON FOR EXPLANATION….

Something I have learned today, is the following…

IF YOU LIVE IN THE EU, YOU WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL TAX ADDED TO YOUR PAYMENT…..

This is NEW, and the first time it has been added to a sale of my courses, so I’ve spent the afternoon investigating why…

It seems, in January 2015 a new tax was introduced on Digital Product sales in the EU.   There has been a phased introduction on management of this.

Teachable (the platform I use to manage my courses) started rolling out their automated management in the Autumn.   They did an additional update across all users on 28th November…    (That’ll teach me to hit delete too soon!)

I was unaware of this when putting my newsletter and course pricing out, so it was a complete surprise to me when I saw a UK course sign up e-mail this morning, with the additional tax amount added…!

If I understand correctly, the amount added varies depending on which country you live in.   In the UK, there is an additional 20% added to the course price… Nothing I can do about it.   (In todays example, and additional £11.64 was added.)

During December, I will honour the prices that I put out in my newsletter.

£58.20 with 40% off code

£72.75 with 25% off code

I will automatically refund any additional tax amount so that you get the course for the price you were promised.

If you miss todays 40% off code, I will also do the same with the 25% off which runs until 31st December.

As of January 2017, I will have to adjust my wording to say that there may be additional taxes depending on the Country you live in.  Will have to do some more research on that.

So, if you’ve been thinking about learning some new encaustic wax skills from your own home… There will never be a better time to sign up than today…!
