There’s something truly magical about stepping into an artist’s studio – the smell of art supplies and pigments, the inspiration of seeing new pieces, colours, textures, it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it…!

I’m thrilled to invite you to experience it all firsthand… in my NEW Art Studio, here in North Cornwall!!

Cornwall Open Studios 2025 almost never happened…  the turn around from nothing to full speed ahead over a few short weeks has been phenomenal…!  Thanks to Jeremy Sanders and team… as of registration closing, there are over 240 artists signed up and ready to open their doors at the end of May, which makes it even more exciting to be a part of..!   **I’ve just had an update that there are 241 studios… 283 artists…!!!  Even Better…!!! 

Open Studios is a rare chance to step inside my world of encaustic art, see how each piece comes to life, and even try your hand at this mesmerising medium. Whether you’re an art lover, a curious creator, or just a passing interest, I’d love to welcome you in!

If you’ve ever wondered what goes into encaustic painting—the layering of molten wax, the textures that emerge, the delicate balance of control and spontaneity… this is your opportunity to see it all up close.

During Open Studios, I’ll be doing live encaustic demos, sharing insights into my creative process, and talking about what inspires my work. Encaustic art is a fascinating process, and I love showing how each brushstroke, whoosh of the iron, or blast with a hot air gun brings a piece to life.

I’ll not only be sharing my encaustic art process, but also offering smartphone photography tips which can help you capture stunning images – whether it’s of artwork, nature, or everyday magic.

When you visit my studio, you can expect to find:

Art isn’t just something to be admired from a distance—it’s meant to be experienced, felt, and shared. That’s why I love Open Studios so much—it breaks down the barriers between artist and audience, and invites you into the process, not just the finished piece.

Artists across Cornwall will be open: 24-26 MAY and 30 MAY-1 JUNE : 11am to 5pm daily – Some artists (me!) will also be open on the days in between – check each artist individually.
