The Encaustic Hive UK – The Art of Place
📣 Calling all UK based encaustic artists…! 📣
Announcing… The Encaustic Hive UK… and “The Art of Place“
Hosted By Julie Wrathall and Lyn Kirkland, gratefully funded by The International Encaustic Artists (IEA)
I’m very excited to share that Lyn & I are ready to reveal our collaborative Encaustic Hive UK, with our first event and online exhibition – The Art of Place. A project we were awarded by the IEA a few months ago.

The event is designed to strengthen the UK encaustic community, providing much needed space for interaction, inspiration and artistic exchange, and it’s FREE to join!
It will be a virtual encaustic art gathering, designed to bring together UK-based encaustic artists for a creative and collaborative experience.
It will provide a real-time shared studio environment, where artists can connect, discuss their work and create together.
The artworks produced will be showcased in an online exhibition in Spring 2026, to celebrate the variety of encaustic styles and interpretations. This first event will be a gauge of the response of encaustic artists in the UK, and will be a pointer for where we may go next.
Here’s a video where Lyn shares more about our event, how it came about, and what’s involved:
